Tropical Deciduous Forest: Dominant type of vegetation in India is tropical deciduous forests which are also called monsoon forests. These include broad-leaved deciduous trees. These trees shed their leaves during the dry season. These are mostly found in South East Asian countries. They consist of teak and thickest bamboo trees.

Tropical Evergreen Forest: Tropical evergreen forests are the forests consisting of evergreen trees with green foliage throughout the year. These are tropical forests. They constitute 7% of the earth’s dry land area and 2% of the total surface. Such forest gives shelter to 50% of the world’s species.
