Distinguish between tropical rain forest and tropical decidous forest

rainforest do not shed Thier leaves in a any particular season but decidous forest shed all Thier leaves in a particular season to conserve water from evaporation

◆ Tropical Rain Forests are confined to tropical regions where there is rainfall throughout the year.

◆ These forests are known as evergreen forests because all the trees do not shed their leaves together.

◆ The trees reach upto 60 metres.

◆ The main trees of these forests are rosewood , mahogany , rubber , etc.

◆ The animals found in these forests Elephant , Lemur , etc.



Tropical Deciduous Forest

◆ Tropical Deciduous Forest are found in the monsoon area of the world where rainfall occurs in summer.

◆ These forests are known as monsoon forest and generally all the trees shed their leaves during dry season.

◆ The trees reach upto 30-40 metres.

◆ The main trees of these forests are Teak , Shisham , etc.

◆ The animals found in these forests are Lion , Tiger , etc.
