Ultrasound and infrasound can be distinguished on these four grounds:
1) Frequency : The frequency of an ultrasound is audible to human ear and is higher than 20 khz. But in case of infrasound, the frequency is less than 20 hz which is not audible to human ears.
2) Factors influencing : Ultrasounds aren't influenced by any kind of factors but opposed to that infrasounds are influenced by atmosphere.
3) Usage : Ultrasound is used in various medical treatments and to measure any flaws in metals and also to measure their thickness. Infrasound is used in the treatment of myopia in children.
