Distinguish by chemical test between n-hexane and benzene

Hexane and benzene are very dissimilar. For one thing, because benzene is aromatic, and is very hydrogen deficient compared to hexane, when it burns, it forms soot. So a black smoke raises from it, while when hexane burns, the smoke it typically white, if there's any smoke at all. So here's a chemical test for you.

hexane is saturated hydrocarbon
benzene is unsaturated hydrocarbon
benzene is the property of de localisation (resonance) but hexane does not this property
