*In the present day, parents offer children freedom while in the past, parents were more rigid.
*Modern parents give deep thought to nurturing their children and developing their self-esteem. However, these were not essential parameters in the past.
*Present day parents explained to their children why they were punished along with the punishment. This was not done in the olden days when the punishment was meted out.
