itinerant is one who travels from place to place while nomad is a member of a group of people who, having no fixed home, move around seasonally in search of food, water and grazing etc.

Nomads: These were pastoralists who roamed from one place to another practicing their skills.

Itinerant groups- They roamed in caravans with other people carrying Goats, sheep’s etc.
