India is the second most populos country in the world and third by density.People want to live in well developed area like fertile soil area for agriculture.In India only a few states are there where good job oppurtunities.That 's why people migrate to town.Only a few states in india have fertile land,good job job oppurtunities.Like - West Bengal,Uttar Pradesh.That 's why people prefer these states and distribution of population is uneven in india.

The distribution of industries is uneven in India because the distribution of resources are uneven in India. Each company wants to start their industry at a place where they can get the raw materials at lower prices, where the transportation system is good so that they can deliver their products to the market, where there is good supply of electricity to run the industry etc.
