The distributive property tells us how to solve problems in the form of             a × (b + c).  The distributive property is sometimes called the distributive law of multiplication and division.

Distributive Property can be classified into two categories namely -

° Distributive Property over Addition

° Distributive Property over Subtraction

Distributive Property -

  • Distributive Property over Addition ⇒  a × (b + c) =  (a × b) + (a × c)
  • Distributive Property over Subtraction ⇒ a × (b - c) = (a × b) - (a × c)
