DISTRIBUTIVE PROPERTY

According to the distributive property, multiplying the sum of two or more addends by a number will give the same result as multiplying each addend individually by the number and then adding the products together.

For all sets A,B and C

A∩(B∪C)=(A∩B)∪(A∩C)

A∪(B∩C)=(A∪B)∩(A∪C).

UNION

The union of two sets contains all the elements contained in either set .

The union is noted as A∪B.

INTERSECTION

The intersection of two sets contains only the elements that are in both sets.

The intersection is noted as A∩B.
