A body is said to be at rest if its position does not change with respect to time whereas a body is said to be in motion if its position changes during a certain interval of time.

A body said to be raised if it does not change its position with respect to fixed point in its surrounding .

Example :- A book lying on the table.

A bench fixed in a park .

A body said to be in motion if it change its position continuously with respect to fixed point in its surrounding then that body is called motion .

Example:- Birds flying in the sky .

Car is running on the road.
