in shifting agriculture land is cleared by cutting and burning the trees see the planted in the ground under this type of cultivation farmers do not plough seeds .after two or three years the clearing is abandoned as the yield decreases going the weeds soil erosion and loss of soil fertility. this leads to soil erosion
