Answer:

(i) x = (-1)

x² + 6x + 5   ..................... substituting the value given,

(-1)² + 6 × (-1) + 5

1 - 6 + 5

-6 + 6 ⇒ 0

⇔hence the given value or x = -1 is a zero of the polynomial.

(ii) x = -5

x² +  6x + 5

(-5)² + 6 × (-5) + 5

25 - 30 + 5

30 - 30 ⇒ 0.

⇔ ∴ the given value or x = -5 is a zero of the polynomial.

* hope it helps :) hit a thx.

Answer:

X=-1 and X= -5 both are zero of the following

Step-by-step explanation:

F(x)=x^2+6x+5

F(-1)=-1^2+6×-1+5

=1-6+5

=6-6

=0

F(-5)= -5^2+6×-5+5

=25-30+5

=30-30

=0
