Question :-

Divide 108 among A, B and C in ratio 3 : 4 : 5.

a] 25, 45, 29

b] 27, 36, 45

c] 36, 45, 25

d] 28, 38, 40

Answer :-

Given :

  • Amount = 108
  • Ratio = 3 : 4 : 5

Solution :

Let the amount of A be '3x', B be '4x' and the amount of C be '5x' respectively.

According to question,

\sf\longrightarrow 3x + 4x + 5x = 108

\sf\longrightarrow 12x = 108

\sf\longrightarrow x = \dfrac{108}{12}

\sf\therefore x = 9

Now,

Amount of A => 3x = 3 × 9 = 27

Amount of B => 4x = 4 × 9 = 36

Amount of C => 5x = 5 × 9 = 45

Therefore, the amount divided in the ratio 3 : 4 : 5 will be 27, 36 and 45.

Hence, b] 27, 36, 45 is the correct option.
