Let one part be x.

So,  other part = (120-x).

According to condition,

1/6x-1/4(120-x) = 10

or, x/6-(120-x)/4 = 10

or, {2x-3(120-x)}/12 = 10

or, (2x-360+3x)/12 = 10

or, 5x-360 = 10×12

or, 5x-360 = 120

or, 5x-360 = 120

or, 5x = 120+360

or, 5x = 480

or, x = 480/5

or, x = 96

So, one part  = x = 96,

and other part =  (120-x) = (120-96) = 24.

Hence, the two parts are 96  and 24.

Hope this helps you to get to your answer.
