6% will account for Rs. 800 and Rs. 400 will account for 8%Step-by-step explanation:

Total amount of money = Rs. 1200

Let the one part of amount be x then the second part will be (1200 - x)

⇒ 0.06 × x × 2 = (1200 - x) × 0.08 × 3

⇒ 0.12x = (1200 - x) × 0.24

⇒ 0.12x = 288 - 0.24x

⇒ 0.12x + 0.24x = 288

⇒ 0.36x = 288

⇒ x = 800

So, The first part be Rs 800

Then the second part will be (1200 - 800) = Rs. 400

So, 6% will account for Rs. 800 and Rs. 400 will account for 8%

Answer:

Answer:

Let the 1st part be Rs = x

2nd part is = 1200 - x

Given,

the interest on initial half for 2 years = 6 %

According to formula

SI = PRT / 100

Interest on 2nd part for 3 years = 8 %

Interest for 1st part = (1200-x)× 3× 8 /100 = 24 (1200-x) /100

according to question,

=> 12x /100 = 24(1200-x) /100

=> x =2(1200-x)

=> 3x =240

=> x =800

The first half is Rs 800 and second half is Rs 400
