let the sweets distributed to a, b, c be k, 4k, 5k
then
k+4k+5k=1500
k=150
therefore a has 150 b has 600and c750
then
k+4k+5k=1500
k=150
therefore a has 150 b has 600and c750

Given, Ratio = A : B : C = 1 : 4 : 5
Let the common ratio be x.
∴1 : 4 : 5 =1x : 4x : 5x
∴ B.T.P.,
1x + 4x + 5x = 1500
⇒10x = 1500
⇒ x = 1500/10
⇒ x = 150
A will get = x = 150 sweets
B will get = 4x = 600 sweets
C will get = 5x = 750 sweets
