Answer:
The Answer is 8 and 8
Step-by-step explanation:
We assume that the two parts are a and b
So, a+b=16
a=16-b --------> equation 1
Now assume z=ab
---> z= (16-b)b
----> z= 16b-b^2
----> dz/db= 16-2b
----> d^2z/db^2= -2<0, so it has only maximum value
So now, maximum values of z, dz/db=0
16-2b=0 -----> b=8
When b=8, a= 16-8 (From equation 1)
b=8, a=8
So the two parts of 16 is 8 and 8
We are following this method because we have to find 2 parts and as we know that we can assume any equation and for that equation we can do double derivatives and through this method our basic all concepts will be improved.
