₹1750 is divided into two parts such that one part be lent out at 15% per annum for 2 years and the other at 16% per annum for 3years which is Rs. 1200 & Rs. 550 respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Rs. 1750 be divided into Rs. “x” at 15%p.a. for 2 years and Rs. “(1750 - x)” at 16% p.a. for 3 years.

Total interest = Rs. 624

Required Formula:

Simple Interest = \frac{PRT}{100}

Now, using the formula and according to the data in the question we have,

624 = \frac{x*15*2}{100} + \frac{(1750-x)*16*3}{100}

⇒ 62400 = 30x + 84000 – 48x

⇒ 18x = 21600

x = Rs. 1200

1750 – x = 1750 – 1200 = Rs. 550

Thus, Rs. 1750 was divided into Rs. 1200 and Rs. 550 respectively.

Answer:

Rs 1200 , Rs 550

Step-by-step explanation:

let the first part be x

then the second part is (1750-x)

we know that S.I=p×r×t/100

Now, S.I for the first part=x×15×2/100

=30x/100

Since, S.I for the second part=(1750-x)×16×3/100

=(1750-x)×48/100

total sum of interest, given as Rs 624

since. 30x/100+(1750-x)×48/100=624

& 30x+84000-48x/100=624

& 30x-48x=624×100

& -18x=62400-84000

& -18x=-21600

& x=1200

Thus, the first part=x= Rs1200

And the second part= 1750-x

= Rs 1750-1200

=Rs 550

Hope it helps
