Divide 180 into two parts such that the first is 12 less than the second part.Please help!!

and second part be 180 - x

Therefore, According to Question,
(180-x) - x = 12
or, -2x = 12-180
or, x = 168/2
or, x = 84.

So the the 1st part is 84 and the second part is (180-x) = 180-84 = 96 (ans).....
