Let 180 is divided in x and y
Then,
x+y = 180 ......(1)
Now,
According to question,
first part is 12 less than twice of second,
x = 2y-12 ......(2)
putting this value in eq (1),
we get,
2y-12+y = 180
3y = 192
=> y = 64
putting y = 64 in eq (2)
we get,
x = 2(64)-12 = 128-12
=> x = 116
Hence,
180 divided in two part as 116 and 64.
