divide 20 into two parts such that one part is 8 mor than the other. what are teo parts

Let the parts be x and  x+8 

Now,

given that their sum is 20.

x+x+8 = 20


2x + 8 = 20

2x = 20-8

2x = 12 

x =12/2 

x =6 

Now,

two Parts are :-

x = 6 

x +8 =6+8= 14
