Let the parts be x, y and z

• x = 2/5 * y ... ...(1)

• The ratio between 2nd and the 3rd is 4 : 3 gives
• y : z = 4 : 3
• or, y/z = 4/3
• or, z = 3/4 * y ... ...(2)

• Since the sum of the parts must be 215. We get
• x + y + z = 215
• or, 2/5 * y + y + 3/4 * y = 215 [ by (1) and (2) ]
• or, (2/5 + 1 + 3/4) * y = 215
• or, (8 + 20 + 15)/20 * y = 215
• or, 43/20 * y = 215
• or, y = 215 * 20/43
• or, y = 100

• Putting y = 100 in (1), we get
• x = 2/5 * 100
• or, x = 40

• Putting y = 100 in (2), we get
• z = 3/4 * 100
• or, z = 75

Answer: the three parts are 40, 100 and 75.
