To Find :

divide 2500 into two parts

Solution:

Let x be the amount lent on 4%

So, (2500-x) is the amount lent on 5%

Case 1:

Principal = x

Rate of interest =4%

Times =5 year

Si = \frac{P \times T \times R}{100}\\Si=\frac{x \times 5 \times 4}{100}\\Si=\frac{20x}{100}\\Si=\frac{x}{5}

Case 2:

Principal = 2500-x

Rate of interest = 5%

Time = 3 years

Si = \frac{P \times T \times R}{100}\\Si=\frac{(2500-x) \times 3 \times 5}{100}

We are given the simple interest on of at 4% of 5 yrar double that of the Other at 5% per year 3 years

So,\frac{x}{5}=2\frac{(2500-x) \times 3 \times 5}{100}\\\frac{x}{10}=\frac{(2500-x) \times 3 \times 5}{100}\\x=1500

So, Rs.1500 is the amount lent on 4% and Rs.1000 is the amount lent on 5%✅
