Let one part be x
Then the other part is 28-x

6x/5=2/3(28-x)
3(6x)=5*2(28-x)
18x=10(28-x)
18x=280-10x
18x+10x=280
28x=280
x=280/28
x=10

One part is 10
then other part is
28-x=28-10=18
10 and 18 are two parts.

hope it helps

Given:

Divide 28 into two parts in such a way that 6 / 5 of the one part is equals to 2/3 of the other.

To Find:

Find both parts.

Solution:

Let first part be x

Let the second part be (28 - x)

According to the question,

6/5*x = 2/3*(28-x)

6x/5 = 56/3 - 2x/3

6x/5 + 2x/3 = 56/3

(18x + 10x)/15 = 56/3

28x = 56/3*15

x = (56*5)/28

x = 10

28-x = 28 - 10 = 18

Hence, the first and second parts are 10 and 18 respectively.
