Here, p(x) = 2x² + 17x + 21

q(x) = 2x + 3

According to Remainder theoram -

2x + 3 = 0

2x = -3

x = -3/2

•°• p(-3/2) = 2×(-3/2)² + 17×(-3/2) + 21

= 2×9/4 + (-51/2) + 21

=18/4 - 51/2 + 21

= 0

Thus, when p(x) is divided by q(x) the remainder will be 0.
