Divide 3,740 in three parts in such a way that half of the first part, one-third of the second part

 \frac{x}{2}  =  \frac{y}{3}  =  \frac{z}{6}  \\ 3x = 2y = z \:  -  -  - (2)

Substituting 2 in 1,

x  +  \frac{3x}{2}  + 3x = 3740 \\ 4x +  \frac{3x}{2}  = 3740 \\ 8x + 3x = 3740 \times 2 \\ 11x = 7480 \\  x = 680

3x = 2y

3 × 680 = 2 × y

3 × 340 = y

y = 1020

3x = z

z = 3 × 680 = 2040
