Let p(x) = 3+x-2x²

=> p(x) = -2x²+x+3 (standard form)

Now, given g(x) = x+1

=> x = -1

Putting the value of x in the above equation.

We get, p(-1) = -2(-1)²+(-1)+3

=> -2-1+3

=> -3+3

=> 0

Hence, (3+x-2x^2)/(x+1) = 0

Hope it helps you.
