2 + 3 = 5

(a) 1st part = (2/5) * 30
 
                 = 12.

(b) 2nd part = (3/5) * 30

                    = 18.

let the ratio be 2x and 3x
therefore, 2x+3x=30
5x=30
x=6
therefore,ammu has=2 X 6
                                 = 12 chocolates
shaila has    =3 X 6
                   = 18 chocolates
