Answer: The parts are 1080 rupees and 2920 rupees.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the total money = 3000 rupees,

Let x be the first part,

⇒ Second part = 3000 - x,

According to the question,

The simple interest on the first part for 4 years at 8% per annum = The simple interest on the Second part for 2 years at 9% per annum,

\implies \frac{x\times 4\times 8}{100}=\frac{(3000-x)\times 9\times 2}{100}⟹

100

x×4×8

=

100

(3000−x)×9×2

\implies \frac{32x}{100}=\frac{18(3000-x)}{100}⟹

100

32x

=

100

18(3000−x)

\implies 3200x=1800(3000-x)⟹3200x=1800(3000−x)

\implies 3200x=5400000-1800x\implies 5000x= 5400000\implies x = 1080⟹3200x=5400000−1800x⟹5000x=5400000⟹x=1080

Thus, The first part = x = 1080 rupees, Second part = 3000 - x = 3000 - 1080 = 2920 rupees.
