One part =14 and other =20
Let one part be x
And other be (34-x)
ATQ.
4/7x=2/5(34-x)
4x/7=2(34-x)/5
4x/7=68-2x/5
5×4x=7(68-2x)
20x=476-14x
20x+14x=476
34x=476
X=476/34=14
Therefore, one part =x=14
Other part =(34-x) =(34-14)=20

Step-by-step explanation:
Let First part=x
then second part=34−x
According to the problem,(
7
4
)
th
of First part=(
5
2
)
th
of the second part.
⇒
7

35
14x
=
5
68
⇒
35
20x+14x
=
5
68
⇒x=14
Hence two parts are 14 and 34−14=20
∴ the first part is 14 and second part is 20
