⇒ 4x/7 = 2(34-x)/5

⇒ 20x = 14(34-x)

⇒ 20x = 476-14x

⇒34x = 476

⇒ x = 476/34

⇒ x = 14

Hence first number is x = 14 and second number = 34-x = 34 - 14 = 20
