Let one part = x

other part = 34-x

Given that four seventh part of one part is equal to two fifth of the other

\Rightarrow  \frac{4}{7}  \times x =  \frac{2}{5} (34 - x) \\  \\ \Rightarrow  \frac{4x}{7}  =  \frac{2(34 - x)}{5}  \\  \\ \Rightarrow 5 \times 4x = 7 \times 2(34 - x) \\  \\ \Rightarrow 20x = 14 \times 34 - 14x \\  \\ \Rightarrow 20x + 14x = 14 \times 34 \\  \\ \Rightarrow 34x = 34 \times 14 \\  \\ \Rightarrow x =  \frac{14 \times 34}{34}  \\  \\ \Rightarrow x = 14 \\  \\ 34 - x = 34 - 14 = 20

The two parts are 14 and 20

\huge\bf{Answer:-}

  • Let x be the One part.
  • Let 34 - x be the another part.

\begin{lgathered}=> \frac{4}{7} \times x = \frac{2}{5}...34 - x... \\ => \frac{4x}{7} = \frac{2...34 - x...}{5} \\ =>5 \times 4x = 7 \times 2...34 - x... \\ =>20x = 14 \times 34 - 14x \\ =>20x + 14x = 14 \times 34 \\ => 34x = 34 \times 14 \\ => x = \frac{14 \times 34}{34} \\ =>x = 14 \\  34 - x = 34 - 14 =20\end{lgathered}

[[34 − x = 34 − 14 = 20]]

Therefore the answer is 14 and 20
