G(X) = 1 + 2X + X² = X² + 2X +1

On dividing P(X) by G(X) we get,

X² + 2X +1 ) 3X³ + X² + 2X + 5 ( 3X -5

-----------------3X³ + 6X² + 3X

----------------0 - 5X² - X +5

----------------- -5X² - 10X - 5

-----------------0 ----- 9X +10

Remainder = 9X +10

And,

Quotient = 3X -5
