So, x + y = 450

➡️ x = (450 - y)

and

3x - 2y = 230

➡️ 3 (450 - y) - 2y = 230

➡️ 1350 - 3y - 2y = 230

➡️ 5y = 1350 - 230 = 1120

➡️ y = 1120/5 = 224

☛ y = 224

So, x = 450 - 224 = 226

☛ x = 226
