Answer:

let the 1st part be x

so, the second part will be 2x - 32

and the third part will be x + 18

now summing them up

x + 2x - 32 + x + 18 = 534

=> 4x = 548

=> x = 137

=> 2x - 32 = 242

=> x + 18 = 155

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Total sum is 534
  • Second part is 32 less than twice the first
  • Third part is 18 more than the first part

To Find:

  • Measure of all parts

Solution: Let the first part be x

A/q

  • Second part = 2x 32
  • Third part = x + 18

If we add First, Second and Third part then we will get total sum i.e 534

\small\implies{\sf } x + ( 2x 32 ) + ( x + 18 ) = 534

\small\implies{\sf } x + 2x 32 + x + 18 = 534

\small\implies{\sf } x + 2x + x 32 + 18 = 534 [ Add all like terms together ]

\small\implies{\sf } 4x 14 = 534

\small\implies{\sf } 4x = 534 + 14

\small\implies{\sf } 4x = 548

\small\implies{\sf } 548/4 = 137

Hence, Value of x ( First part ) is 137

Second Part = 2x 32 = 2(137) 32

\small\implies{\sf } 274 32

\small\implies{\sf } 242

Third Part = x + 18

\small\implies{\sf } 137 + 18

\small\implies{\sf } 155

Check

Adding all parts together

137 + 242 + 155 = 534

534 = 534

Hence, LHS = RHS
