Their sum = 54

$x + \frac{2x}{7} = 54 \\ \\ => \frac{7x + 2x}{7} = 54 \\ \\ => \frac{9x}{7} = 54 \\ \\ => x = \frac{54 \times 7}{9} \\ \\ => x = 6 \times 7 \\ \\ => x = 42$




Hence, numbers are

$x = 42 \\ \\ \frac{2x}{7} = \frac{2 \times 42}{7} = \frac{2 \times 6}{1} = 12$
