Other is 2x/7
x+ 2x/7 = 54
9x/7 = 54
x = 54*7 /9
x = 42

 ∴1st part:2nd part=2:7
Let 1st part be 2x,
And, 2nd part 7x,
 ∴Sum of ratio=2x+7x
                       =9x
∴1st part=(1st part/sum of ratio)*Total quantity
              = (2x/9x)*54
              = (2/9)*54
              = 2*54/9
              = 2*6
              = 12
∴2nd part=(2nd part/sum of ratio)*Total quantity
              = (7x/9x)*54
              = (7/9)*54
              = 7*54/9
              = 7*6
              = 42
