How to do :-

Here, we are given with the total papers that should be divided by two people in the ratio of 7:4. We have to find the number of papers that each of them will get. Here, we will use some other concepts such as variables and also the numbers should be shifted from one hand side to the other which is called as transportation of numbers. We should remember that while shifting the numbers, the sign of the numbers should be changed. So, let's solve!!

\:

Solution :-

{\tt \leadsto 7 : 4 = 55}

Insert a variable x to both part of ratios.

 {\tt \leadsto 7x + 4x = 55}

Add both values on LHS, as they have same variable.

{\tt \leadsto 11x = 55}

Shift the number 11 from LHS to RHS, changing it's sign.

{\tt \leadsto x = \dfrac{55}{11}}

Simplify the fraction to get the value of x.

{\tt \leadsto x = 5}

\:

Papers obtained to Geeta :-

{\tt \leadsto 7x = 7 \times 5}

{\tt \leadsto 35 \: \: papers}

Papers obtained to Kala :-

{\tt \leadsto 4x = 4 \times 5}

{\tt \leadsto 20 \: \: papers}

Hence solved !!

Step-by-step explanation:

.Answer

Let ratios be written as 7x and 2x

7x+2x=1575

9x=1575

x=

9

1575

x=175

Substitute the value of x

7x=7(175)=1225

2x=2(175)=350

Kamal will get Rs. 1225 where as Madhu will get Rs. 350.
