Let the common ratio be \textbf{x}

Then, the ratio will be 5x and 3x

\underline\textsf{We know that,}

\mathsf{5x + 3x = 56}

\mathsf{=> 8x = 56}

\mathsf{=> x = \frac{56}{8} }

\boxed{\mathsf{=> x = 7}}

Now,

\mathbf{5x = 5(7) = 35}

\mathbf{3x = 3(7) = 21}

let common ratio x
5x+3x=56
8x=56
X=56/8=7
now put value
7*5=35
7*3=21 so 35/21 is your answer
