divide 5830 into three parts such that the first is 1/4 of the second and the ratio between the second and third part is 5:7

let the second and third part is 5x and 7x
so first part is 1/4 of the second
so first part is 5x/4
now 5x/4+5x+7x=5830
5x/4+12x=5830
53x/4=5830
x=440
so first part is 5x/4=550
second part is 5x =2200
third part is 7x =3080
