Divide 60 pens between Seema and Meenu in the ratio of 2:3 .

Total no of pens = 60 pens

Ratio in which it must divided = 2 : 3

Let the number of pens Seema gets be 2 X.

Then , the number of pens Meenu gets be 3 X.

According to the given condition ,

We can say that,

$\longrightarrow\bf{2 X + 3 X = 60}$

$\longrightarrow\bf{5X= 60}$

$\longrightarrow\bf{X=\dfrac{60}{5}}$

$\longrightarrow\bf{X= 12}$

Then pens Seema will get = 2(X) = 2 x 12 = 24

Pens Meenu will get = 3(X) = 3 x 12 = 36

Ratio of pens b/w Seema & Meenu = 2 : 3

                                                             =   $\bf\dfrac{2X}{3X}$

                                                             =    $\bf\dfrac{24}{36}$

                                                             = 24 : 36

Seema gets = 24 pens

Meenu gets  = 36 pens
