Here we have,
p(x) = 60(y - 4)(y² + 5y + 3)
g(x) = 5(y - 4) = 5y - 20 = 5y = 20 = y = 20/5 = y = 4.
Now there are two methods. Either divide the whole thing or use the factor theorum.
Thts wht is here. We have got the value of y, not lets put it inside.
60(y - 4)(y² + 5y + 3)
= 60(4 - 4)((4)² + 5(4) + 3)
Observe that 4 - 4 = 0.
And anything multiplied to zero gives zero.
So the remainder will be zero.
