Step-by-step explanation:

let first part is x

and second part y

therefore

1/4x=1/3y

from this,

1x × 3= 4 × 1y

3x=4y

y= 3x/4 ------------ (i)

A/q,

84= x+ y

from equation 1......

84= x + 3x/4

84= 4x/4 +3x/4

84= 7x/4

84×4/7= x

12× 4 = x

48=x

so, from..1

y= 3×48/4

y= 3×12

y= 36

Answer:

Let one part be X

Another part = 84 - X

Now, ATQ;

1/3 × X = 1/ 4 × (84 - X)

X/3×4 = 84 - x

4X = 3( 85- X)

7X = 84 × 3

X = 12 × 3

X = 36

So, two parts will be 36 and 48 (84-36).
