The parts of Rajan and Kamal

★ Solution :

Rajan = $\frac{1}{5} \times x$

= x/5

Kamal =$\frac{1}{6} \times x$

= x/6

x/5 + x/6 = 880

(6x + 5x)/30 = 880

11x/30 = 880

by cross multiplication

11x = 880 × 30

$x = \frac{(880 \times 30)}{11}$

x = 80 × 30

x = 2400 ..

by putting the value of x ..

Rajan's share =

$\frac{x}{5} = \frac{2400}{5} = 480$

Kamal's share =

$\frac{x}{6} = \frac{2400}{6} = 400$

Therefore ,

→ Rajan's share = ₹ 480

→ Kamal's share = ₹ 400
