Given ratio = 1 / 5 : 1 / 6

Total money = Rs.880

Let the division of money between Rajan and Kamal be x / 5 and x / 6 respectively.

Now,

x / 5 + x / 6 = 880

(6x + 5x) / 30 = 880

11x / 30 = 880

x = 2400

Now,

Rajan's money = x / 5 = 2400 / 5 = Rs.480

Kamal's money = x / 6 = 2400 / 6 = Rs.400

x/5+x/6=880. =11x/30=880. 11x =880*30 X=2400. Rajan =1/5*2400 = rupees 480. Kamal =1/6*2400 = rupees 400
