Divide a line segment AB of length 9.2 cm in the ratio 1 : 3 by bisecting it twice. Find the measures of the two parts.

TO divide it in ratio of 1:3
Total ratio=4

part I: (1/4)X9.2=2.3cm
Part II: (3/4)X9.2=6.9cm

9.2/4*1=2.3
2.3*3=6.9
