GIVEN:

p(x) = x+3r²-1

g(x) = 1+x

SOLUTION:

Here, g(x) = 1+x

=> x = -1

Putting value of x in p(x).

We get, p(-1) = (-1)+3r²-1

=> -1+3r²-1 = 0

=> -2+3r² = 0

=> 3r² = 2

=> r² = 2/3

=> r = √2/3

Hence, the value of r is √2/3.

Hope it helps you.
