Step-by-step explanation:

G.T P(x)=3x^3-x^2-3x+5

g(x)=x^2-1

g(x)=(x-1)(x+1)

.:f(x)=(x-1)

z(x)=(x+1)

x=1 or -1

substitute x=1 in P(x)=

3(1)^3-(1)^2-3(1)+5=

3-1-3+5=

0

similarly substitute x=-1 in P(x)=

3(-1)^3-(-1)^2-3(-1)+5=

-3-1+3+5=

4

.: g(x) can't divide P(x) completely
