Given f(x) = x - 1.

Given g(x) = x^4 - 3x^2 + 2x + 5.

Now divide f(x) by g(x), we get

          x^3 + x^2 - 2x
         --------------------------------
x - 1)  x^4 -       3x^2 + 2x + 5

          x^4 - x^3

          ------------------------------------

                    x^3 - 3x^2 + 2x + 5

                    x^3 - x^2

              ----------------------------------

                             -2x^2 + 2x + 5

                             -2x^2 + 2x

              ----------------------------------

                                                   5

Therefore,Quotient = x^3 + x^2 - 2x, remainder = 5.

Hope this helps!
