Concept

A polynomial is an expression or a function of a variable which has more than two terms with different power in the variable. For example,

P(x) = ax^2 + bx + c , is a polynomial where the variable is x and a, b, c are coefficients which are constant. Any polynomial is divided by any other polynomial in a similar manner as of numbers.

Given

There are two polynomials which are a and a - b.

Find

We have to calculate the value of polynomial a divided by polynomial a - b.

Solution

The value of the polynomial a divided by polynomial a - b is equal to

= a/(a - b)

Hence the calculated value is a/(a - b).
